Day 1: Canada - Barcelona (Spain)
Flight with a good itinerary.
Day 2: Barcelona
Arrival at the airport in Barcelona. You will be greeted by our local representatives after exiting the customs and transferred to your hotel. Take advantage of the rest of the afternoon at leisure to start your exploration of Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia and one of the most cosmopolitan cities in Europe.
Day 3: Barcelona
Following breakfast, make your way toward a pick-up point for the Hop-on Hop-off Barcelona tour on a double-decker bus. On the hill of Montjuïc you will discover the park of the same name, the green lung of the city, from where you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the port. Not far from there, you will see the Olympic ring, the main site of the 1992 Olympic Games. Then you will explore the Old Gothic quarter, one of the best preserved in Europe, with the monument dedicated to Christopher Columbus, the Plaça Reial, the emblematic Rambla and the Barcelona Cathedral from the 15th century.
In the afternoon, continue your exploration of Barcelona with your full-day bus pass. Search for the monuments designed by Gaudi, one of the architects of the city who contributed to its global fame. You will certainly be impressed by the Sagrada Familia, its masterpiece and a unique monument with a singular architecture, and the Park Güell, both listed UNESCO World Heritage Sites. (Breakfast)
Day 4: Barcelona
Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a full day at leisure to continue your exploration of vibrant Barcelona.
Explore the district of La Barceloneta which is surrounded by a long promenade lined with palm trees and San Sebastia beach on one side, and the Old Gothic quarter on the other side. A former fishing district, La Barceloneta is today bustling with bars and restaurants and is a popular meeting place for locals and tourists. (Breakfast)
Day 5: Barcelona - Zaragoza - Madrid
After breakfast, departure toward Madrid. En route, you will stop in Zaragoza, the capital of Aragon. Crossed by the Ebro river, Zaragoza has a very rich cultural and historical heritage. During your free time, wander around the Old Town and discover the Basilica del Pilar, an important pilgrimage site dedicated to the Virgin Mary, and Aljaferia Palace, a medieval fortress from the 11th century and an important testimony of the Spanish-Islamic architecture. Continuation to Madrid. Check-in at the hotel and overnight in Madrid. (Breakfast)
Day 6: Madrid
Breakfast at the hotel. This morning you will discover Madrid, one of the youngest and most captivating capitals in Europe, with a multilingual local guide. The Spanish capital stands out for its ancient patrimony inherited from the reign of the Habsburg and Bourbon dynasties, the abundance of small districts each with their own village atmosphere, and its cultural offer including the Prado and the Reina Sofia museums.
Enjoy an interesting panoramic tour of Madrid including the Gran Via and Plaza de España, the remarkable Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, Puerta de Alcalá, and the legendary Real Madrid stadium, Santiago Bernabéu. Afternoon and evening free to continue your exploration of Madrid. (Breakfast)
Day 7: Madrid – Tenerife (Canary Islands)
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport of Madrid for your flight to Tenerife. Upon arrival, greetings by our local representatives and transfer to your hotel. Your stay will be on half-board basis. Rest of the day at leisure to take advantage of the facilities of your hotel (pool, solarium, beauty salon, restaurant, and bar), walk around the beautiful coastal town of Puerta de la Cruz with its 17th century churches and traditional fishing port, and explore the long black-sand beach of Playa Jardin with its stunning views over Teide volcano. Day 8: Tenerife
Full day at leisure after breakfast. Relax at the pool of your hotel or at the stunning beach of Playa Jardin. Optional excursion will be available at the tour desk of your hotel. (Breakfast-Dinner)
You may want to explore Canary Islands most famous national park on your free day: Las Cañadas del Teide. Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2007, this park is a unique landscape of craters, volcanoes, and rivers of petrified lava, surrounding the impressive silhouette of Teide volcano that stands at 3,718 m above sea level. A convenient road network across the entire park, two visitor centres, and abundant vantage points to get a panoramic view of the whole park will make your experience unique.
Day 9: Tenerife - Full-day guided tour
Breakfast at the hotel. After greeting your guide in the lobby of your hotel, you will depart toward Icod de los Vinos, the most important wine area on the island. Then, you will discover the authentic village of Garachico with its natural pools called ‘charcos’, and its paved streets filled with colorful colonial houses.
Balancing on a rocky plateau in the Teno Mountains, the village of Masca is only accessible by a road with breathtaking views. The typical Canarian rural architecture that can be found there makes it one of the highlights of Tenerife. Continuation toward Santiago and the iconic cliffs of Los Gigantes, standing at 600 m above the Atlantic, before returning to the hotel in Puerto de la Cruz. (Breakfast-Dinner)
Day 10: Tenerife
Full day at leisure after breakfast. Continue your exploration of the island on your own or opt for an optional excursion at the tour desk of your hotel. (Breakfast-Dinner)
Close to your hotel in Puerto de la Cruz is Lagos de Martianez. This complex of about 100,000 square meters is unique in its design, a mix of elements of the Canarian architect’s vision with local elements such as sentry boxes, palisades, and the gaze of the sea. These large pools are filled with sea water, as they were made by reclaiming the land from the sea. It is the best place to spend the afternoon relaxing and swimming in a wonderful natural setting with views of Teide volcano.
Day 11: Tenerife - Madrid
Breakfast at the hotel and time at leisure before the transfer to the airport for your flight back to Madrid. Greetings upon arrival, and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Spend the evening in Malasaña or La Latina, two of the trendiest districts in the city. (Breakfast)
Day 12: Madrid - Canada
After breakfast, greeting in the lobby of your hotel by our local representatives and transfer from the hotel to the airport for your flight home. (Breakfast)
